Tobias Harris Answers the Question, “Who Can Take the Last Shot?”

What. A. Game.

A roller coaster of emotions ended with the sweetest of victories, thanks to our star player Tobias Harris.

During the timeout leading up to that possession, I was really curious about what play Doc Rivers would draw up and who would get the ball. Embiid has made some clutch shots this season, but it still did not seem sure he is the definitive guy in that situation.

This, in my opinion, has been the biggest aspect the Sixers have missed since letting Jimmy Butler go. He was always the answer for “Who will get the ball to end the game?” The hope seemed to be that Tobi could be the answer, and tonight, he finally proved it.

That shot perfectly summed up the new version of Harris we have seen early on this season. He is playing with much more confidence and making quicker, smarter decisions on offense. The sky is the limit for him, and hopefully this is when he finally becomes an all star.

Philly remains undefeated this season with its whole starting five active, while the Lakers were handed their first road loss. It ended much closer than it should have, but was still a statement win by the Sixers. The Big Three did what they had to do to get the dub. Embiid continued his dominance with 28 points, Simmons had a 17-point triple double while playing excellent defense and Harris’ game winner capped off his 24-point performance.

The Sixers proved something tonight: They cannot only compete with any team in the league, but they can also beat any team in the league. Even with all the recent trade talks on improving the team, this current roster showed they have what it takes to go far in 2021.
