The shot heard ’round Bobi’s World

Saturday, March 24th, 2019. A date that will live in history with great significance.

For it was on this great day that something amazing happened, something most thought impossible.

In every generation, there is a moment that shapes the zeitgeist and redirects our culture onto a new path, helping it evolve and change. It comes seemingly out of nowhere, but once it happens, nothing is ever the same again.

For our generation, that moment took place with under 6:30 remaining in the first quarter of the 76ers’ matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.

The grace. The elegance. The form. I mean no hyperbole when I say, Boban Marjanovic’s first career three pointer makes the Sistine Chapel look like a homeless man’s diarrhea. Alex Len tries to close out before the shot, but all he can do is watch in awe as if he had seen the face of God themself.

The signing of the Declaration of Independence, Washington crossing the Delaware, the invention of the printing press, storming the beaches of Normandy, the fall of the Berlin Wall, all of these great moments in the history of human civilization now pale in comparison to history’s true zenith, Bobi’s first three.

What will life be like in this new, post-Boban three pointer world? Only time will tell. I can only assume the national debt will soon begin to shrink. The cure for cancer can be expect within the next few days. Cats and dogs living together in complete harmony. The world is now a much better place and it’s all because of Boban’s three. Honestly, I’m surprised the UN hasn’t released an official statement yet.

The only question that remains is, how much more does Boban have to do until we start taking him seriously in the GOAT debate? He is the all-time leader in career PER and is now slowly making his way up the three point percentage list.

Hey LeBron, if you feel someone breathing down your neck, that’s just Boban.

I will now patiently await the eventual Sixers-Celtics playoff series, so I can watch Boban drain corner threes over Aaron Baynes dumb face.

*Bonus Bobi*

Bobi is bigger than Anthony Davis and he knows it too. I wonder how much would the Lakers have to give up for Bobi?
