76ers sign Corey Brewer to a 10-Day Contract

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Corey Brewer, the former Oklahoma City Thunder small forward, to a 10-day contract this afternoon.

Brewer has not currently played this season and is looking to prolong his career in Philadelphia. Last season, Brewer was on the Lakers until he was later released for his lack of production; averaging only 4 points per game on an average of 13 minutes played. Oklahoma City signed him after he was released, and played solid for them averaging 10 points and 3 rebounds per-game.

The signing of Brewer could be a diamond in the rough since the Sixers need more depth at the small forward position, and he can come and fill that roll. Brewer can stretch the floor and hit outside shots at a constant rate which fits well with Brett Brown’s offense and could help generate more wins for this team. Brewer can also play solid defense and has playoff experience which could help him stay on this young Sixers team for the rest of the season.

Welcome to Philly, Corey!
