REPORT: James Harden Would Welcome Trade to Philadelphia

Houston Rockets superstar James Harden is reportedly open to being traded to either Philadelphia or Brooklyn, per Shams Charania.

NBA teams can begin trading as of today. With the draft on Wednesday, a transaction could be imminent. There is still no guarantee Houston parts ways with Harden, but teams will be trying hard to get him. Philadelphia or Brooklyn would be immediate contenders if they could land the eight-time all star.

Sixers fans have been eager to see how the new-look front office led by Daryl Morey will handle the offseason. The city would be electric if Morey could land his former player as one of his first moves.

Morey seemed to be high on Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons during his press conference, so they may not be available for trade. It would most likely be centered around either Tobias Harris or Al Horford AND Josh Richardson. The Sixers would probably also need to add some combination of young players, like Matisse Thybulle and Shake Milton, and draft picks.

Brooklyn has some pieces to offer, too, without getting rid of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. They could possibly trade Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert, while adding other role players and/or draft picks to sweeten up the deal.

After what the Sixers went through last year, this could change everything around. It can bring fans the hope they have been desperately craving. All basketball eyes will be on Houston for the foreseeable future.
