JJ Redick established a special bond with Joel Embiid on the pick and roll during their 2 year tenure together. Whenever Joel and JJ were on the same side of the half court, they ran a 2 man game.

A huge issue for the Sixers this year has been the lack of consistent partner in crime for Joel Embiid.
Furkan Korkmaz shows flashes, but he is not providing the same flow that JJ did for the pick and roll to work 100% of the time. Shake Milton is now the PG for the Sixers, but Joel mentioned in the latest JJ Redick podcast, that he believes Shake Milton is close to becoming what Redick was in the pick in roll.
This team can not win a championship until the organization puts together a team that helps Joel Embiid succeed. The loss of JJ Redick has not been replaced.
