Game #32: Philadelphia 76ers @ San Antonio Spurs

Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Time: 8:30 PM

Line: SA -1.5

Watch: NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Sixers head down to Southern Texas to take on Greg Pop and the San Antonio Spurs. As a Sixers life long fan, trips to San Antonio for the Sixers did not usually go well. Now, with the likes of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili gone, the Spurs lost their edge with the home court advantage.

Yes, the Spurs are (11-5) at home this season, but they are giving up 111 points per game. This is unlike the NBA Title teams that the Spurs have produced for two decades. Their identity took a 180 when they traded for DeRozan and sent Kawhi to Toronto in the offseason.

For the Sixers, things have been tough as of late. From Joel Embiid frustrated with his role with the squad, to Jimmy Butler missing a few games, and a two game losing streak at home, the Sixers have been struggling. After a loss to the Nets and Pacers back to back, the Sixers ventured into Quicken Loans Arena to beat the Cavs last night. It was the return of Jimmy Buckets that helped propel the team to a 128-105 victory.

So, what to expect tonight? Well, I expect the Sixers to lay a can of whoop ass on the Spurs. The Sixers swept the Spurs last year for the first time since 2003-2004 season, The era of the Spurs will be over soon and look for the Sixers to expose weaknesses in full force tonight.

My player to watch will be non other than Landry Shamet. In only 15 minutes of action last night, he managed to score 16 points and was (4-5) from deep. He is a piece to the puzzle that we need to keep the bench alive during the latter parts of the season.

Trust The Process.
