Game #15: Sixers vs Miami Outline- Can the Sixers bring the Heat to Wade County?

The Sixers are down in Wade County tonight to take on the Miami Heat. The Sixers come into tonight’s showdown sitting at (8-6), tied for 3rd in the eastern conference, while the Heat are (5-7). The Sixers were outnumbered in their last game against the Grizzlies with only 9 guys available to play. Some of the calvary will return tonight including Wilson Chandler, who rested as the Sixers are taking a cautious approach to ease him back into the lineup. Another player that will return tonight is Mike Muscala, who suffered a nose fracture and facial laceration in practice last Tuesday.

As we all know the roster is down two men, two men who have been a pivotal part in #trusttheprocess movement. The Croatian Sensation was dealt along with Robert Covington to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Jimmy Butler. The all-star will play on Wednesday against the Magic, so tonight we are once again short-handed

Players to watch tonight are some forgotten role players on the roster. TJ McConnell will have a huge role tonight as he will serve as the backup point guard. This is a test to prove that he deserves to get minutes once Butler arrives. The talk is that Fultz will run the second unit, but if TJ performs well tonight, he may still be in the rotation going forward. Another player to look out for is Furkan Korkmaz. He had a great game as he hit some threes down in Memphis. There is talk that he will be in the Kyle Korver deal if it goes through, so he not only is proving he should be getting minutes for the Sixers, but also he is an asset to a trade package as well.

The Heat are in a state of transition. Hassan Whiteside seemed to be a player who had no fit moving forward into this season after his pathetic performance in the playoffs. He is their best player right now. He almost had a triple-double the other night and had 9 blocks. The Whiteside and Embiid matchup will be entertaining, to say the least. Will this be the Whiteside of recent or will he go back to Fraudside?

The Heat are favored by -2.5 on the spread tonight with the Sixers short-handed. Expect this one to get chippy, as the Heat still have some bad blood from the playoff series last year. The Sixers are looking to get only their second road game all season. Tip-off is at 7:30pm on NBC Sports Philadelphia. Let’s roll and trust it.

Here is a video of Joel Embiid dominating Fraudside, enjoy.
