Game #11: Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets(6:00 PM EST)

Location: Barclays Center, Brooklyn

TV: NBC Sports Philadelphia

Tonight the Sixers are on the road in Brooklyn to take on the Nets. Philadelphia is coming off a win against the Clippers just yesterday afternoon. In that win we saw the Sixers come out strong to start the game only to give up the demanding lead in second half. They still won the game but in a much closer contest then it should have been.

The Sixers have had a habit of letting off the gas after building a healthy lead. If the Sixers come out strong like they did against the Clippers it will be interesting to see what adjustments Brett Brown will make to his rotation to start the second half. Wilson Chandler might not be ready for a heavier workload just yet, but he might end up being Dario’s replacement in the near future. Saric looks exhausted by the time the second half comes around and clearly doesn’t have his legs under him. Giving Chandler or Muscala some extra playing time over Dario might help get Saric some rest and back to his old self.

I expect to see Brett Brown go to his bench early and often in this game to try to give his starters a little bit of rest after playing yesterday afternoon. Although Fultz is a starter we might see him get some extended usage at the point tonight particularly at the point. Fultz still doesn’t look like the number one overall pick but he is showing a lot of promise and confidence. I hope to see him continue to get more comfortable on the floor and tonight might be a big step forward (or step back).

The key to tonights game is to protect the ball and limit turnovers. Joel has been a dominate force down low and should continue to be tonight. The Sixers need to continue to let the offense run through him. If Joel can get on a roll tonight he will demand defenders to help in the low post which will open up the floor for Simmons and Fultz .
