BREAKING: Sixers City Edition Uniform Leak

‘Tis the season for NBA City Uniform leaks.  Some teams will be wearing them as early as next week, so it makes sense that the designs are floating around.  I have not been able to confirm what the Sixers’ jersey would look like… until now.

Based on information posted at SportsLogos.net, we knew that Philly would have a gray jersey to replace the cream “Declaration of Independence” jerseys they wore last season and throughout last year’s playoffs.

Twitter user @SixersAdam from Liberty Ballers tweeted this around 6:45 this morning:

I had some sources from last year when I was digging for information regarding the Statement/City uniforms, and was able to confirm that this is indeed the real deal.

I dig the heather gray base with the minimalist approach.  It is based on their circular 13-stars secondary logo that sits above the 7 in their primary logo.  I shared the image with my TPQ brethren in our Slack, and the reviews were mixed.  I have a feeling it will be a polarizing design, mainly due to how much people loved the cream jerseys from last season.  I am a fan of classic, timeless design and in my opinion, this is perfect for what it is.  It will look great on t-shirts and hoodies and it’s different enough that people will buy one.  Nike and the NBA know what they’re doing.

Based on the new NBA LockerVision, the 76ers will debut these on November 9 vs Charlotte.

Stay tuned.
