Game #20 Sixers vs Pelicans: The Battle of MVP Candidates

Game #20: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia

Watch: NBCS Philadelphia

Listen: 97.5 The Fanatic

Line: PHI -4

The Sixers are storming into Thanksgiving with a head full of steam. After the win against the Suns on Monday night, the Sixers made it a season high three wins in a row. The Sixers extended their home winning streak to 9 games in a row this season. The Wells Fargo Center is turning into Oracle Arena faster than expected.

Tonight is a matchup that every fan and media analyst is waiting to see, and that is the big men battle between Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid. Both of these players are MVP candidates and are the heart and soul of their franchise.

The Pelicans are coming in also on a three game win streak and are in the hunt for a lower seed in the western conference this year.

This will be a game without Markelle Fultz for the first time this season. It was reported yesterday that he will be sidelined as he will be seeking a shoulder specialist. The news clearly threw off Brett Brown, Elton Brand, and entire Sixers organization. Expect TJ McConnell to replace Fultz as the back up point guard.

It will be interesting to see if Ben Simmons stays aggressive like he has been the last few games. It is great to see Jimmy and Ben work well together so early on in the big three era.

The game tips off at 7PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
