Philadelphia 76ers vs Milwaukee Bucks Preview

MILWAUKEE

Tonight, the Philadelphia 76ers (2-2) travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks (3-0) with hopes of gaining some traction early on in the season.  Philadelphia, coming off of a disappointing 133-132 overtime lose to the Pistons, look to hand the Bucks their first loss of the season.  Joel Embiid is coming off his best game of the young season last night (33-11-7) and put the Sixers on his back with the absence Ben Simmons. It unfortunately wasn’t enough to thwart Blake Griffin’s career best 50 point effort.  With Ben Simmons reportedly set to return to the lineup, the Sixers will look to forget about last night and get one back in the win column.

The Bucks are coming into this game are 3-0 on the season as well as coming off a 124-113 win over the New York Knicks.  While the Bucks have yet to face one of the NBA’s powerhouse teams, they are certainly going to be in contention for the top seeds in the East.  This makes each meeting with the Sixers that much more important.  Giannis Antetokounmpo, one of the favorites to win MVP, is coming into this game with an outstanding 27.3 points per game and 16 rebounds per game in 3 games.  If the Sixers want to take this matchup with the Bucks, they will need Simmons and Embiid to control the glass and not allow Giannis to get hot like Griffin did last night. Although Vegas believes the Bucks are 5.5 point favorites at home, I believe the Sixers will take this one.

Line: Bucks -5.5

Prediction: Sixers 124-115
